Today saw the Premier League fixtures for the upcoming 2019/2020 season released.
Champions Manchester City begin their defence of the title away at West Ham United. Runners up Liverpool kick off the season at home to newly promoted Norwich City in the Friday evening game.
The season starts on Friday 9th August with the annual curtain raiser, the Community Shield taking place between Manchester City and Liverpool on Sunday 4th August.
One stand out game is at Old Trafford where Manchester United host Chelsea in the last game of the weekend on Sunday 11th August. Chelsea have to travel to Turkey after this game to play in the Uefa Super Cup final in Istanbul against Champions League winners Liverpool on Wednesday 14th August.
The three newly promoted sides have tough starts. As mentioned, Norwich travel to Anfield, Sheffield United travel to Bournemouth and Aston Villa go to Tottenham Hotspur.
Next season will see a mini break introduced during February. Games will be split over two weeks. Five games will be played over the weekend of the 8th February and the other five games played over the weekend of the 15th.
Amazon TV will show all of the Boxing Day fixtures live on their network with Sky Sports and BT Sport going empty handed. Amazon TV are also set to show the Merseyside derby at Anfield in December.
Liverpool face top-flight away matches immediately before five of their six Champions League group fixtures, one of which is at Manchester United. Chelsea have four away trips, one of which is at Manchester City.
City will be away three times before playing in Europe, while Tottenham will be on the road for just two.
