Here at Half Time Pie, we like to work with other writers, bloggers, etc to share their great work. Here are some of those people who have provided articles to the site. If you wish to write for the site, please click on the contact us or write for us pages and get in touch.

Ian Hope owns and runs Half Time Pie website. He has run several previous websites covering all aspects of football. His first match was in 1982 aged just 7 and he writes articles covering several different clubs as well as opinionated articles on issues in the game. Running this site covers his two passions of writing and football.

Gary Smith is a Freelance sports writer who has previously had stints at The Daily Record and Evening Times as well as NUFCfans. He is a massive sports fan and has played at Celtic Park as well as appeared in the Official Team photo for the Newcastle United team.

Gary Skinner is 57 years old and an Oldham Athletic season ticket holder, attending his first Oldham match in 1966. He has supported the Latics through thick and thin including the Joe Royle years, winning the then 2nd division (championship) title and seeing Oldham reach the premier league. Gary enjoys writing Oldham match reports and opinion on the goings on at Boundary Park. Away from football, Gary loves to watch most sports and has played football, cricket & tennis in local leagues. He has also played table tennis for 40 years in the Oldham & District table tennis league.

John Newsome’s has been a weekly contributor to since 2017 and has built up a large and loyal following, where he vents his views and thoughts on football and the Premier League, in particular. John hails from Barnsley, UK and has followed Barnsley FC since he was 6 years old, and is where his love for football began. He has visited every ground in the country, along with numerous excursions outside of the UK, such as the Nou Camp in Barcelona and San Siro in Milan.
According to John, “Football is my life, it determines me and dictates how I live. I am extremely grateful of Every Tip allowing me to vent my views and thoughts on football and the Premier League and hope I do justice to their commitment to football”.
John also is an avid Boxing fan who has been at numerous World Championship fights seeing fighters such as Kell Brook, Gennardy Golovkin, Errol Spence Jnr, George Groves, Josh Warrington, Kid Galahad, Callum Smith, Dillian Whyte, Conor Benn, Dave Allen, Tony Bellew, Andy Townend and of course Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.
